Tonight at 8:30/7:30 central, the Sci-Fi channel will premeir the first episode of it's sci-fi "original" Battlestar Galactica, stemming from it's two part mini-series that originally aired some months ago, and which was reaired this week.

As a person who enjoys seeing new takes on old staples, I personally enjoyed the mini-series though to be completely honest I never watched the original so I have nothing to compare it two. But perhaps this is a good thing? Will the new Sci-Fi channel series allow new intiates to the Galactica universe to come into it clean and without expectations? Or will this simply allow people like me to mouth off about the series thinking I actually know what I'm talking about.
